Oakland Raiders outside linebacker Khalil Mack has admitted he will be chasing hard to record his first NFL sack when his team takes on the Miami Dolphins at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday evening.
The 2014 first round draft pick spoke to BritViewNFL.com at a community event with more than 200 schoolchildren at Surrey Sports Park in Guildford on Tuesday, stressing: “My first NFL sack will be very sweet – and long overdue.”
Mack is going to be a key defender for the Silver and Black in the Week 4 clash with the Dolphins – in a game that will officially serve as a home contest for the Raiders.
The former University of Buffalo star says: “It’s going to be very special to play at Wembley Stadium. It should be a great atmosphere and as a defensive player you can really feed off the energy of a crowd.”
Mack is rounding into shape very nicely for the Raiders and could be in line for a break-out game against a Dolphins team that has struggled up front and at quarterback in recent weeks. In last week’s very competitive road loss at New England, Mack recorded 7 tackles and 2 quarterback hits and announced his arrival on the NFL scene.
“Tom Brady was definitely on my sack list heading into this season. I got to get a couple of hits on him and to hear him talk out there a few times. That was pretty cool.”
